An Open Letter To All Athletic Directors and Athletic Associations Regarding Concussions

This letter will be short and right to the point.  For all those that come out of this with peaked interest, we can discuss in greater detail, just contact our office for greater understanding and implementation.

We are facing a huge problem that has become an epidemic and this letter is an attempt to offer a solution.

Concussions are occurring in boys and girls, nearly any age, and from various sports.

On the whole, there is more training on Concussions then there has ever been for doctors,trainers, coaches, parents, and athletes....

Best Protection Against Concussions

There is a lot of research being done to find the best protective gear for athletes in hopes of reducing concussions.

Helmets, mouthpieces, goggles, headgear all have their place in providing protection for the head and jaw during contact in many sports today.

Of course wearing protective gear does not guarantee safety from Head and Neck Injuries but it does offer some degree of help in those areas as opposed to not wearing the gear.

However, what does a Rugby player do where there is no protection for the head?

What about soccer players or basketball players?  Boxers that don't wear head gear?

Cheerleaders or Gymnasts?

We are a household of 6 athletes (3 boys and 3 girls including my wife and myself) and always wear proper head protective gear for whichever activity it is required....
