Eyes in the Hitting Zone!

A characteristic of the great infielders and outfielders is their quick reaction to a hit ball. They see the ball hit the bat, they react and immediately go to the ball. That split second reaction of seeing the ball jump off the bat is the difference between a base hit through the hole between short and third and a Sports Center Top 10 diving stop and seed throw to first base for the out!
As a player develops and learns the nuances of the game such as where to position himself based upon the count to the batter, type of batter, type of pitch being thrown, etc....
