Two pitchers joined forces to throw a no-hitter for Elite Sports Baseball 9U in a season-opener 15-0 victory in four innings over Lil Sluggers on Monday at Westhoff #2. Cam Hart and Clayton Arrowood tallied 10 strikeouts and walked three in completing the no-no. Cam was in control on the mound. Cam held Lil Sluggers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out eight.
Ten runs in the opening three innings allowed ESB 9U to easily put away Lil Sluggers. An RBI double by Cam during the first inning and , a three-run triple by Paul Valenti, and an RBI single by Cam in the second inning supplied the early offense. Paul racked up four RBIs on three hits for ESB 9U.
ESB 9U hammered Lil Sluggers pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 13 RBIs and 13 runs scored. We added four more runs in the top of the third. as Clayton's triple got things going, plating Jack Sullivan and Brady Davis. That was followed up by Austin Mahoney's single, plating Clayton. We later tacked on another five runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Paul doubled, scoring Gavin White. That was followed up by Cam's single, bringing home Paul.

Another great day to coach ESB 11U and work with young up and coming players. Today our 1st 30min bunt coverages&defensive review was very good. Hitting very good & tee work in groups better. Parents Thks 4 getting kids 2 practice/players good work. Were getting close to where I feel we should be as a team. In time we will have all 12 players playing at a high level together. You want to ensure that your spring/summer are fun. Remember team practice and individual repetition done correctly on your own are the key. ESB LH

In the lab watching game film on Hudl. At least it feels like the AFL2/IFL without question. At least 4-6 leagues calls, 5-6 crew calls w/ 20+ league emails and power points last month. I have never been better prepared for a game then CPIFL opener Sunday. The organization and professionalism has been unmatched in my 10th year involved with arena/indoor football. The support and resources needed. I feel very lucky to have been selected. Crew members from Big10 , MIAA A veteran crew should be fun. More great high school baseball news. Congratulations to former Elite Sports Baseball players. Michael Tunnage (Troy), Sean Geimer (Desmet) and Connor Eldridge (Kirkwood). These players participated one year but did a great job of finishing what they started. All three in my opinion project to be varsity contributors as sophomores. Again positive representation of Elite Sports Baseball. This brings the total to 9 former players who made a high school baseball team and JB making JV track and field. I project all nine of these former players as varsity starters in the near future. So not bad for a small program in year four. Thanks to all the parents that stayed the course with us and coaches who gave their time.
